Hi

How do you deal (if ) with the computer 'contributions in English language'
like copy-and-paste, cut-and-paste and the like? That just exist and are in use, in fact.

From the point of English grammar, I mean.

Having been copy-pasted/ copypasted and all the bunch .

I haven't had to deal with it till now, Tamara. Offhand, I think I would dump the hyphens for any formal writing: After having been copied and pasted, the text format was intact.

Casually, we can do anything we like with it, I suppose: Hey, dude-- how about copy-pasting that stupid grin onto the back of your neck?!

Since copy and paste are two separate actions, I'd write it thusly:

copy/paste

A parallel is found in football, when a player plays two positions... as in:

#12 Pete Stegrongaczychst QB/CB

In this case, the "/" means and.

If it were one action, the verb would be represented by copy-paste.

I always fall in doubt each time when have to use some forms (Past, Gerund) of hypened words the first part(word) of which is also exist as an 'independent' verb.
