Distance between Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong

Since I am improving my geography these days, I will be asking such questions off and on. :wink:

Are Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong near each other. Their GMT is almost the same which leads me to believe that they are near each other.

Longitude may explain why they have similar GMT，but different latitudes tell a fact that Japan is far from Singapore. By the way,may I know your longitude and latitude?:)

Japan is four hours away from Hong Kong and 5 to 6 hours away from Singapore by plane.
