Hi, could you please read the following sentence:

"....was established in 2001 with the aim of providing students of English language with a large range of high quality, carefully graded English reading and listening material."

In my opinion in should read 'students of the English language' or 'English language students' or 'students of English' and 'a large range of ..... materials'.

What do you think?

Regards,
Tosten

I agree that it should say "students of the English language" or any of the other things you suggested. It may have been a mistake on the author's part, or else the author left out the article on the politically correct conviction that there are many "Englishes".
