" No field of study can advance sigificantly unless outsiders bring their knowledge and experience to that field of study."
Response:
In the present era student choose different subjects of studies in order to fulfill their interests. Every one has varied interests, if one has interest in music, other may have interest in sports. We also know that people not only have only one particular subject that attracts them. People experiment several situations that they have learned from other subjects. I think a field of study advances with the contribution from the people whose study is not related to field of study. Following elaborates my point of views.
Firstly, I would like to start with an example of a Frog in a small and deep well.
The frog assumes that well, the place where its living, is the entire world and it is the only species biggest in the world. Frog assumes this because, it has not come out of the well for its entire life time. It can know the actual fact only when it comes out of the well or meets some other species. Similarly, field of study advances by the exchange of the information from other field of studies.
Secondly, when we browse through the history, we can see the contribution of the mathematicians to the world of technology. Mathematics is being used in almost Engineering fields. It has also been used in the development of musical songs. Engineering mathematics provide the basis for the development of engineering plans. If people had not used mathematics thinking that its a separate field, we would not have arrived to such an advanced technological changes.
Thirdly, latest developments in the field of Electronics and Software Programming, has helped to a great extent in various fields of studies. For example, a lecturer in a class room uses a electronic projector, a micro phone and speaker to communicate with students. similarly, a doctor used the plotter to measure the pulse rate of a patient and used uses X-ray technology to identify problems in the body. The technology is used in almost all fields. And with the help of it, in other fields such as entertainment, military, medical, industrial, and research laboratories, have advanced to a great extent recently.
Summing up to conclude, every field of study will have more advantage than disadvantage, when knowledge form other field is implemented. It is only when there is exchange of information among fields of studies we can see an obvious development and advancement of the studies.
