Hi Sultano

It most likely means that she typically gets up early (and also starts doing things early in the morning).
There is also this well-known saying: The early bird catches the worm. (Click here.)

Hi

The idiom is as I know are present in German, Spanish and English in some form. Possibly Chinese as well as the language has a lot of idioms.

Also there is "he is a night owl" which means he likes the night, stays up late either working, relaxing or partying. Both animals are nocturnal.
