TOEFL Essay: By encouraging qualified people to leave their own country, rich countries are stealing from the Third World. Do you agree ?
Nowadays, more and more qualified people are moving to rich countries where they believe that there are more opportunities to develop their career path. Like some other people, I think that rich countries are stealing human resources from poor countries by encouraging this trend.
Firstly, human is a very costly resource to develop. Training a doctor or an engineer may cost a lot of money and requires poor countries to have a qualified system of education. Therefore, I see no reason to let the rich countries to steal qualified people without paying any training expense.
Beside, human resource is also a very important factor to the development of a country. Especially in the modern society, knowledge and technologies are much more important to the wealth of a country than any nature resource such as coal, gold, or land. By attracting qualified people, rich countries are also stealing future development opportunities from other countries.
Lastly, I believe that there are many measures for rich countries to gain benefit from qualified people of other countries but still keep them stay and help develop their own countries. In the recent years, companies from Japan, US, or Europe increasingly invest and open factories in developing countries such as China, India, Vietnam, etc. When they invest to another country, they also transfer new technologies and help to train people there. This is a very good measure and should be encouraged to protect the human resource of poor countries.
In general, I would like to stress that human is a very valuable resource of every countries. We have to stop the stealing of qualified people by rich countries so that this resource can be used to develop our own countries

Hi,
My suggestions are in CAPITAL LETTERS:
Nowadays, more and more qualified people are moving to rich countries where they believe that there are more opportunities to develop their career path. Like some other people, I think that rich countries are stealing human resources from poor countries by encouraging this trend.
Firstly,A human BEING is a very costly resource to develop. Training a doctor or an engineer may cost a lot of money and requires poor countries to have a qualified system of education. Therefore, I see no reason to let the rich countries steal qualified people without paying FOR any training expense.
BesideS, THE human resource is also a very important factor IN the development of a country. Especially in modern society, knowledge and technologies are much more important to the wealth of a country than any nature resource such as coal, gold, or land. By attracting qualified people, rich countries are also stealing future development opportunities from other countries.
Lastly, I believe that there are many measures for rich countries to benefit from qualified people of other countries but still keep them and help develop their own countries. In recent years, companies from Japan, US, or Europe increasingly invest and open factories in developing countries such as China, India, Vietnam, etc. When they invest IN another country, they also transfer new technologies and help to train people there. This is a very good measure and should be encouraged to protect the human resourceS of poor countries.
In general, I would like to stress that A human BEING is a very valuable resource of every countrY. We have to stop the stealing of qualified people by rich countries so that this resource can be used to develop our own countries Alan _________________ English as a Second Language You can read my ESL story Present Simple |

The difference between the poor countries and the rich ones is not the age of the country.
This can be shown by countries like India & Egypt, which are more than 2000 years old and yet are poor.
On the other hand, Canada, Australia & New Zealand, that 150 years ago were unimpressive, today are relatively rich, developed countries.
The difference between poor & rich countries does not reside in their available natural resources.
Japan has a limited territory, 80% mountainous, inadequate for agriculture & cattle raising, but it is the second biggest world economy. The country is like an immense floating factory, importing raw material from the whole world and exporting manufactured products.
Another example is Switzerland, which does not plant cocoa but has the best chocolate in the world. In its little territory they raise animals and plant the soil only 4 months per year. Not enough, but they produce dairy products of the best quality. It is a small country that transmits an image of security, order & labor, which made it the world’s strong safe.
Executives from rich countries who communicate with their counterparts in poor countries show that there is no significant intellectual difference.
Race or skin color are also not important: immigrants labeled lazy in their countries of origin are the productive power in rich European countries.
What is the difference then?
The difference is the attitude of the people, framed along the years by education & culture.
On analyzing the behavior of the people in rich & developed countries, we find that the great majority conform to the following principles in their lives:
1. Ethics, as a basic principle. 2. Integrity. 3. Responsibility. 4. Respect for the laws & rules. 5. Respect for the rights of other citizens. 6. Work-loving. 7. Strive for savings & investment. 8. Will of super action. 9. Punctuality.
In poor countries, only a minority follow these basic principles in their daily life. We are not poor because we lack natural resources or because nature was cruel to us.
We are poor because we lack attitude. We lack the will to comply with and teach these functional principles of rich & developed societies.
If you do not forward this message nothing will happen to you. Your pet will not die, you will not be fired, you will not have bad luck for seven years and also you will not get sick.
If you love your country, let this message circulate for a large quantity of people could reflect about this & CHANGE, ACT!!

TOEFL Essay: By encouraging qualified people to leave their own country, rich countries are stealing from the Third World. Do you agree ? Nowadays, people, who are from poor countries, are tend to leave their own countries to find their bright future deserving with their abilities. So, I totally agree with the fact happening rapidly is that the rich countries are stealing from the Third World by stating two reasons as following.
At the first glance, people transmit to rich countries in order to look for their better living condition. Obviously, with such a high salary paid, hardy every one can deny this because of their families. They have not only lived for their selves but also for their children, they desire their children to have a good environment of study, where are well-equipped with modern laboratory and well-trained teachers.
Secondly, high-qualified people naturally want to have their best conditions to support their jobs. To illustrate this, their poor countries are obviously not able to give them the best places for invention but rich countries. This explains why a huge number of scientists move to the USA in the first word war such as einstein and many other reputable scientists.
In conclusion, Poor countries themselves should order better policy of treatment to such high-qualified people like raising these people salaries, contributing better laboratory, promoting their children learning environments. Thus, they can step by step keep their human resource significantly and this will result in the development of these countries economy. |
