Hi

One good British guy I communicate with (within some project) has the word 'responsable' in his signature… and I hesitate to ask him whether it just means resposIble. Smile

When I google the 'word', I can enjoy seeing 128,000,000 (!) for Responsable.

When I think about the 'word', I must admit that the combination response' + 'able' looks as a quite logical formation. Smile …even though it sounds a bit strange…

Could you validate that the 'word' does (not Smile) exist and
this is (not Smile) just a (very typical Smile) typo?

,
The fact that it is good Spanish and French may have something to do with the number of hits, even though it is bad English.

French and Spanish?
Ah... As I'm not a linguist, nor a natural polyglot:), I didn't suppose other (good Smile) languages...

Thank you, Mister Micawber!

The cynic in me had jumped to the conclusion that the 128,000,000 number is representative of (only) English-speakers who can't (or won't take the time to...) spell "responsible" correctly.

...and then I saw MM's response. LOL, hadn't thought of that.
