We all work in our jobs with many different kind of people. In your opinion, what are some important characteristics of a co worker? Use reasons and example to explain why these characteristics are important?
Work place is an important place for every worker. This is because daily most of the time people spend at their work place. During work people come in contact with their co-workers. Therefore co-workers play a unique role in the daily life of people. Each and every person has some qualities. It does not matter what characteristics one has. But characteristics of co-workers show a direct impact in our office and personal life as well. Hence in my opinion a co-worker should have these qualities.
A colleague should have a lively nature. If we find a colleague who has a lively nature then we feel happy and free with her. A lot of interest comes in work if people feel happy. I have a good example of this in my life. When I did a job, I had a good company in my working place. My co-workers were very lively. Therefore we all felt fresh and happy in that environment. Due to this we were all energetic and did lots of work.
A colleague should be intelligent. If a colleague has the habit of studying and discussing good ideas then others can also get aware of new things. An intelligent colleague can give good ideas about career and can be helpful in office work as well. At work, people face many types of difficulties in their job. If colleagues are intelligent, have a good knowledge and experience then people can take their help to overcome problems.
Co-workers should be adjusting. If co-workers have an adjusting nature then a new employee will feel good. For instance, in starting when people join their job they face many problems (like work place and distribution of work). If co-workers have an adjusting nature then it is very easy for an employee otherwise it may be tough.
A Co-worker should not have the habit of jealousy and complaining. If co-workers have these habits then these habits are not only harmful for the career of other people but also for co-workers. In my view people should be alert from co-workers who have these habits.
Finally, I would like to say if a co-worker who does not have these qualities then we should be careful with them. This is beneficial for each and every person.
