I like English very much, but I don't know how to use adjectives very carefully. For example, must I use 'big 'first or 'red '? Please help me!!!

Minerva,

this topic is quite complicated.
In general, however, one can say that adjectives expressing size, weight or age for example are used before adjectives expressing colour or material. So you can say: "a big red apple" or " an old leather coat"
