Hi, what do you think of this story by Sandra Marttinen? It's called How to make lambs suckle? -- which was my idea. Maybe, there is a better title for it? Just let me know.
Thanks. Torsten

Hello Torsten,

Truthfully, I did not expect the essay to discuss the title literally. Was it all about how to make lambs suckle? Or is there any hidden message in it? If I were to guess, I would say:

1. We have to be analytical/logical to solve any problem. For example, in your story, the mother lamb did not want to feed one of her twins because they smelled differently (I think it's common knowledge that animals reject their babes when they smelled different) so the solution is to make them smelled the same.

2. Like John, men should be considerate with their wives. (??) (Not wanting to wake her up and letting her have her beauty sleep :D )

3. Men should not underestimate their wives because women can do wonderful things and leave you open-mouthed when they put their mind to it.

4. Like John, we won't mind working like a horse if it is something that we love.

Are these the things that you wanted to deliver? Or did I just make them up?

Yours,
Nina

Hi Sandra,
It was interesting and different to read your text. I liked it.
During my read, I could think about living in a farm. If I have, one day, to choose to live in a farm or in a city, for sure,I would choose to live in a city, regardless all the advantages we can take in living in countryside (close contact with the nature, the animals, better food, less competition, etc). Simply, I like living in a big city like mine.
There are other points I would like to bring out;
- There are things you do not learn at school(How to make a lamb to suckle, for example): and
- The work in a farm never finish. We have to work on the weekends, holidays, etc. Really we must like to live at this way.
If it is necessary, you can correct me.
Let me know what are your thoughts about this subject
My best regards

Sandra/ Brasil
