Hi

Could you say, is it possible in English to use ‘the only’ when referring to more than one 'things'?

For example, can I say: Mary and Jane are the only girls in the group.

?

Yes, you can. I went to the supermarket to buy some some bananas and the only ones they had were very green It seems at the moment that you and I are the only members online
