I want to say that I don't know (at this moment) where someone works. Which sentence is correct:

If I knew where he works, I could tell her. or

If I knew where he worked, I could tell her.

Since the person still works there, either verb tense is OK.

The second one could also apply to a job that he no longer holds, but context should make the meaning plain.
