Hi All,

Could you please tell me if I could use the word perceive in the following sentence? I mean do the people use the word perceive in the "everyday speech"?

Don't make changes in the mail template.
Everyone use it and will perceive the change you made immediately.

In the sentence you gave, perceive does, in fact, mean the same thing as notice. However, perceive very commonly has other meanings, such as to have a sensory impression, as in, "I can't perceive the depth of the forest in this fog," or to have an opinion, as in, "I don't perceive that to be important."

People do use the word perceive frequently.
