Well,

The grasshopper had spent his time dancing and singing instead of collecting food for the winter period so he ended up with nothing to eat and would have to go to bed starved/very hungry (without eating dinner).

The grasshopper spent a lot of time dancing so the ants were joking that the grasshopper would probably go to bed dancing too. Since he hadn't collected any food, he would go dancing famished, this means with an empty belly.
