Days, Months etc. (Unit 12) #185 (permalink) Thu Dec 10, 2009 23:31 pm   Days, Months etc. (Unit 12)

Hello
I just read the dates and calendars. In England we say different the date:you say-Saturday,December 11th
we say-Saturday,11th of December or just 11th December and when you read it you add"of"between 11th and December.
Always when i write letters I write months long way December never short way Dec.
Here are some sentences using months,dates,weekdays;
-On Saturday,I have an appointment with my doctor.
-In March,I have a lot of exams.
-In summer,I will go for holiday in Albania.
-My son's birthday is on 28th of August.
It was helpful because before I didn't know what to choose;in January or on January, now thanks to you I've learned everything about dates, months, weekdays, thank you.
Best wishes
Admira

Dear Sir,
First of all, I'd like to greet you a very prosperous New Year! May the coming year brings you more success, happiness and good health!
Thank you very much for informing us about prepositions and dates. I agree that it's quite confusing when do we have to use "in" or "on"? It seems like simple but it's not.
Until then, I'm so grateful that I found this site. I started to learn slowly these confusing grammar. Thank you very much!
Happy 2010! to everyone

Best regards,
Arlyn
