Dear CarlosHenrique

I would like to correct your last sentence;

either you can use this sentence

"I will go to my mom's house at Christmas"

or this

" I am going to my mom's house at Christmas".

or you can also use it " I am going to meet my mom at Christmas" etc.

because we can not use "will" or "going to" together in one sentence. As their meaning are same both indicate future action that's why we will use one of them.

hope you got it.

Dear Shafqat

I would like to correct your following sentences.

"I will go to the New York in February for attending the cousin wedding ceremony."

You can use this sentence like this;

"I will go to the New York in February for attending my cousin's wedding ceremony" or

"I will go to the New York for attending the wedding ceremony of my cousin in February".

"I am going for sale visit in January"

hope you got it.

Dear Shafqat

If I am not wrong, you are asking about the difference between
"Saturday, January 11th 2009" or "Saturday, Jan 11th 2009"? Is it?

If yes, then there is no difference between them actually both is different (date format) that we normally use for official/business letters or even top of news papers.

As per sunny's lesson

We use the preposition "on" for days of week for example;

"The football match will start on Monday".

If we talk about just for month then we use preposition "in" like;

"She is going abroad in December, 2008"

or

"In December, she is going abroad for higher study/ In December, I am going for sale visit to Dubai". etc.

but if you want to mention specific date of month then you will use "on" like this;

"His birthday is on December 24th ".

or

"On Nov. 28, 2007, Mr. Musharraf gave up his military rank.

You can use different date format like this

December 23, 2008, Dec. 23, 2008, 23rd December, or December 23rd etc.

So it is not necessary that you must write "December 24th” you can also write
"24th December” like;

"Pakistan came into being on 14th August, 2008".

but that date format is quite old, have you ever noticed that the standard format of date is "December 24th" and it is mostly used in news papers, and business letters/application etc.
24th=December, 24th”
25th=December, 25th”
21st=December, 21st”

hope you got the answer after this explanation.
