Hi Sue..thank you for your date lesson...
For using the prepositions with the date, month, year, now I have a clear idea..
But I think I have an odd question..why the Arabian palm fruit is also called as 'dates'..? can anyone give the reason..please..thanks.

date..as noun & verb #68 (permalink) Mon Jan 12, 2009 4:25 am   date..as noun & verb

Hi Sunny..

out of these three words..date, month, year...we are using the date as a noun as well as a verb..

for example:

what is the date today..? (noun)
the letter was dated 31st Oct.1959 (verb) {here we are not using'on'}

but can we use the other two words as verbs..? if yes..how..? please. clarify..

thanks for your clarification.
