Hello Alan
I don't think there's reason to be worried just yet. As long as you don't come in direct contact with infected birds or their -um- droppings there's no risk. You can't get infected by well-cooked meat, as far as I know. You're no chicken farmer, are you? I think that the issue is over-hyped in the media although there's the remote chance that the virus will mutate into a form that is air-borne but there's been no reports of that so far.

Hi Alan,
Nothing to worry about the Avian-flu as long as you're not to keep the birds at home. I had no problems with it, living in a country where some were killed by the illness. But you have to be careful about the flu- nomatter if it is avian or not.
With regards from Turkey. |

Good news from the scientists: you can contract bird flu only if you touch a sick bird's feathers and do not wash your hands. It turns out that contracting bird flu is next to impossible if you do not have any contact with birds both domestic and wild. On the other hand, not every person infected dies. I think only half of the infected people have died since 1997. This information needs to be checked though... _________________ Learning is a sacred engagement. |

As I said above: You can go on to eat chickens! You can't get infected by cooked meat. Everything else is false information!

Hi Ralf,
I think Tom won't mind me answering your question.

Chicken massala is just like chicken curry only it tastes differently. You can eat it with rice or bread.Maybe you can 'google image' it.
p/s: I made chicken masala before but I think I prefer the ones from the Indian restaurants. |
