Dear teachers,

How would you call the person who runs a TV programme? (By the way, is "run" the correct verb here.) I know that we use "presenter" for the person who presents news, but how do we call a person who is the author of a programme? Like Tim Sebastian of Hard Talk on BBC? What is his profession's name? It looks I knew the word, but I have forgetten Sad

Thanks in advance

Thanks Alan!

What about "author"? Do we say "the author of the programme"? Also, could you, please, comment on the phrase of "run a TV programme"?
