"While initial technique application of reflexology addresses current stressors, continued work triggers the healing response for which reflexology is known."

What does "address" mean in this context?

Hi,

'Address' in your context suggests 'take account of' 'settle' 'refer to' or deal with' This could be used as follows: The government is trying to address (deal with) the problem of street violence.
