In the presidential election of nineteen fifty-two, the company designed a campaign to "sell" Mister Eisenhower and Mister Nixon to the American public. Eisenhower did not always agree with the company's advice. One time, he became very angry. He said, "All they talk about is my honesty. Nobody ever says I have a brain in my head!"

May I replace the Bold part with "Eisenhower sometimes did not agree with the company's advice."?

Hi Floratang,

There is a difference in emphasis between the two. When you say: He did not always agree, you are indicating that although you might think he always agreed, that was not in fact the case. He sometimes did not agree has no other meaning except as it is stated - this disagreement happened sometimes.
