I'll hazard the word 'dare' as a first shot/as a close approximation.Sounds quite dynamic in English.

Hi Alan,
Thank you! Let's see if Mr Daerr agrees with you. (I'm sure he does.)

Let me see. When I introduce myself to Germans in German, they usually say "Hello Mr. Bear, pleased to me you." (the German word for 'Bear' and 'Daerr' sound quite similar and since my surname is pretty rare, most people think I'm a bear not a daerr. So, to answer your question: Yes, 'dare' is how how to I recommend to pronounce 'daerr'. Lucky Alan. No questions as to how his surname should be pronounced ;-)

I figured it was either "dare" or "dire" (da-err). _________________ Billie Jean is not my lover. Hee. |
