Why was March 26 a record day? #1 (permalink) Thu Feb 22, 2007 15:06 pm   Why was March 26 a record day?

Can anyone explain why we had 195 people on March 26 last year? I remember we used to have around 10 or 15 people on average visiting the web site simultaneously those times. What happened that 195 people visited this web site simultaneously? Someone had probably advertised the web site very successfully or I suspect that that day was the Global English Language Day :)

Hi Zahir,

To use one of Amy's expressions: Good eye! You see, sometimes the bots of Google and other search engines 'visit' our forum to index new posts. These 'visits' are counted to the total number of users and so we got this number of 195. But wait a few months and we will have hundreds of people not only visting but using our forum!

Hi

This is very optimistic and sounds very British in it?s attitude to new ventures. You obviously haven?t been in Germany too long Slava ; ).

If that were to happen will it affect the capabilities of the forum, cms wise?
Also would you have to delete (more) posts or threads?

As mentioned in a previous thread the user will have navigation difficulties in the maze of threads.

Just noticed a time thing the post time gives a 24 hour clock 23:47 but then p.m. is this not kinda redundant, double gemubbled?

Hi Slava,

I have no doubt about that. Citizens of growing giant economies with millions of population such as China, Russia, Japan, India and many others, we well as users from non-English speaking developed countries in Europe are still to join and take advantage of this invaluable web site.

I think it will take some time before people in Latin America hear about this web site because of the very long distance :)
