.
I am beginning to see (I think) what is happening, Slava. If I am logged in when someone responds to a thread, I do not get email notice. And I may never discover the post if I have gone on past it, onto other threads, and then close the E-T.N screen.

Does that make any sense to you?

I sometimes experience the same but I thought maybe the box for "Notify me on replies" was unchecked? Or did it uncheck itself (?_?) because I ticked the 'Yes' box in my profile for notification.
