Many people have a close relationship with their pets. These people treat their birds, cats, or other animals as members of their family. In your opinion, are such relationships good? Why or why not? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Nowadays, many people acquire diverse animals from dogs and cats to different kinds of birds and even crocodiles. For one keeping animals is like a kind of hobby whereas for others, like elders for instance, it is a method not to be in the loneliness. In some cases, owners treat with their animals like with intelligent human beings.

Often home animals like cats are bought for little children by they parents. By playing with a little creature a growing child could understand the importance of concern for other person. It developes the sence of responsibility in young brains. On the other hand, very heavy attachment that strengthens over the years, can lend to the situations when the death of his beloved fish that has actually grown up with him, the child becomes very high stress situation. In some cases for child it could be even more than the death of one of relatives.
Usually grown-up adults do not have presuppositions to relate with their pets as with equal partners, but not without exceptions. For instance some teenagers continue to behave theirselves childishly and worry over the home animals like over their own children. It can be an adverse effect, by confining circle of acquaintance and forming restraint. Especially it aggravate when your girlfriend does not keep an date because of the illness of her beloved hamster.
For elders keeping home animals plays much different role. When you are on a pension and have a lot of free time spending it at home in watching television, no one could better replace live communications as your own dog. In that case animals became healing.

Therefore, in my opinion the level of relationship with home animals has to depend on the concrete person and case. For someone close communication is harmful for others it is indispensable.
