This test question would be better without the article 'the':
I like to watch tennis on television. It is a very good game.

Generally speaking, we would use 'the' in order to talk about a specific or particular television. Wink
For example:
- "The television in my bedroom is on the fritz."
- "I wanted to watch the movie on the television in my bedroom."
