Massy
Italia is my second-favorite country on earth. I love your country.
We have family friends in Modena, and I was lucky enough to visit them several years ago.
While there we saw Verona (I grabbed Juliet's breast, of course), Roma, Genoa, Venice, Florence, and parts of Liguria and the Cinqueterra.
I love your food; it absolutely makes me drool. While there I gained about ten pounds.
I was so happy this past summer as Pirlo, Totti, Cannavaro and the boys hoisted the trophy. The daughter of our family friends went to some sort of party after the Copa and took close-up pictures of Luca Toni and Zaccardo. Those pics are neat.
Forza Italia

First of all, thank you Dear prezbucky, I know I'm going to disappoint you, but all you saw in Verona about Romeo and Juliet was 99.9 % fake. Sorry (nevertheless Verona is one of the most beautiful cities in Italy). Modena is in Emilia Romagna, the cradle of good food. (You gained only ten pounds? You're lucky, trust me)
Edwin, what can I tell You? Come and visit my country. choose any place you want. we have everything you desire: Alps, the Mediterranean sea, Volcanoes (still alive!), lakes ... if in summer, start from southern Italy (sicily, Naples)
My class is a 3rd year liceo (16- 17). it is a mixed-ability class. I usually work with our textbooks, o.h projector, internet, miming... whatever I (we) think necessary.
thanks again ciao |

What was fake? I hadn't subscribed to any great mystery/meaning regarding the statue. The girls held her hand, the guys grabbed her bosom, pictures were taken, and that was it. I spent half of my waking hours thinking about soccer (Euro 2000... awful final result) and food. The other half I was actually trying to pay attention to the different sights/sounds/experiences of the trip.
As for Modena, I liked it (mostly). One night after my sister'd gone to sleep, I slipped outside and began walking to find a place at which to drink a beer. I got lost, and did not speak (enough) Italian to be able to navigate my way home. I tried communicating with them in Spanish, but that's good for about 50%-effective communication. Thankfully I walked into a Jamaican, who pointed me in the right direction.
