Hi Jan, people do good things only if they are free. To achieve greatness you have to love what you are doing. When people are oppressed and forced they might do something against their will for a certain period of time. However, sooner or later they will change their situation to achieve a higher level of freedom. I can't see how forcing Esperanto on everybody will solve any of the ongoing international conflicts and there must be a better way than allowing another dictator like Stalin to seize power.

I think you thought for a while that I am serious ?
People do what they do when they are free they do bad thinks , when they are oppressed they do good thinks it is no rule in general.

Esperanto is borne because some "stupid" naive Jew was dreaming that if we understand each other and we will respect each other etc... we will be better.
It is nothing wrong but doesn't work or maybe it works.
Last week in my city some Polish "Nazi" had killed a good boy just because they were different about what about homosexuals. He had killed him on the street just like this.Esperanto won't help them for sure, but Esperanto is the will help me after all to live in this crazy world.

Hi Jan,

I remember you mentioning that you speak Esperanto. I know you've already told us but could you please refresh my memory -- when and why did you start learning Esperanto? Also, do you use Esperanto when you are at sea?

Talk to you soon,
Torsten

At the risk of sounding completely ignorant (well I am, in this case):

What is Esperanto?

Is it a dialect of Spanish or something like that?

Well, as You see it is all because of lack of Esperanto.
Esperanto was borne in east Poland under Russia occupation has been actually written by one man Zamenhof.Jews would get crazy when I say that he was Polish but in Poland Zamenhof is always treated as Polish Jew,or Polish.
East Poland was that time was place of extremely multinational influence even
if it sounds crazy you may just imagine Polish Belorussian Ukraine Lithuanian
Jews Germans Russian Turks Tatars Dutch French etc etc etc
Some places were pure Polish ,Jews , Ukrainians Germans,or somebody else. Some were really mix like hell. The nations were under Russian rule it means nobody was really in charge. They were hating fighting and they were probably loving each other.Zamenhof was as child between friends and enemies and he wanted for all of them just peace. He fought that language may be a reason, language may create respect he has written artificial language Esperanto.
This is what I remember about it but it may be all wrong

My Esperanto is pure because of woman. The Jan Esperanto Ideology is also discovered just to blind girls
To learn I have started many years ago when I was trying to seduce very beautiful female Esperanto teacher but after all I was in very mortal danger and was fighting for my freedom actually I was almost caught in the trap.
You have to understand that after this experience I would keep distance from that treachery environment.
Esperanto at see is exactly useless as Astro navigation both things are good in charming conversations with some pretty passengers.I haven't meet any sight of Esperanto at see.

The Idea is to make artificial language fair for all nations free of this heavy cultural & political ballast which every natural language is full up to the last letter.

Esperanto , Beer and Rock and Roll For Everybody .

Hi Prezbucky,

After all that has happened, how can you possibly talk about a crusade, even in inverted commas!

At this point, the "crusade" is to protect the new elected Iraqi government

I was doing it flippantly.

Speaking of the Crusades, is there any truth to the idea that they were fought primarily to secure European travel rights in the Middle East?

In other words, the Muslims wouldn't allow Europeans to use their passports in the ME...

"But, I SAY, this is a TRAVESTY! The King Himself -- er, may he live forever -- granted me this passport! Stop this tomfoolery at once! Guards! Arm thyselves! Prepare to storm the knaves who wish to restrict our divinely given access to the Holy Land! God, King and Country!"

hehe
