Renting an apartment or buying your own house? Sat Mar 10, 2007 5:02 am  Renting an apartment or buying your own house?

Hello,
Because the housing prices are booming higher and higher many people can't afford to buy their own apartments . Though it isn't so bad to ask loans from banks you still have to remember debts usually, which might have been a nightmare accompaning you in the past ten years. Why not rent an apartment ? Special economical apartments would be nice. What do you think of it?

FangFang,

Hello and how do you do.

A cosy economical apartment sounds nice but what if the rent is as expensive as buying? won't buying be wiser? You can always sell it when you don't want it anymore.

Well, that's my opinion, I've always wanted to buy my own place and a big SUV Hummer! Neat uh?!

but probably there are certain conditions which prevent you from buying a house? Otherwise everyone would buy not rent houses.

Yes FangFang, I'm in Japan right now and I'd start working too next month and will be moving up to north Japan by the end of the month.I'll be staying in an apartment prepared by my company.I don't know much about real estate in Japan but in Malaysia people are crazy about it.

Sorry dear, much as my boyfriend would love me to (° 0° )\(-_-), I don't speak Chinese. When I marry him, maybe. IF...(^^:;)

You really think the words are funny?Given the condition I'm in right now,I think they are very sad words.(┬┬_┬┬)

Do you know what some people in the United States do for a living -- or for a lot of extra money? They do something called "flipping houses".

Here's how it works:

They buy a house cheap. This can happen in one of two ways. Maybe someone hasn't paid his property taxes for a couple of years, and so the city sells the house to someone else for the amount of the property taxes (sometimes this can be as little as $10,000, but it's usually more). The other way is that someone has stopped making his house payments to the bank. In those cases, the new buyer does one of two things: (1) He will take over the owner's debt in exchange for the house, or (2) He will buy the house from the bank (banks don't like to own houses, so they sell them cheap to get rid of them).

After the person owns the house, he takes a month or so to make repairs to the house, so that it will look nice and conform to the city safety standards. Then he sells the house on the open market and gets full price for it. People can make as much as $20,000 or $40,000 each time they do this, and some people do it every month.
