You can use 'bout' for a fight in boxing; it's the unit like match/game etc for fighting.

What does `unit' mean in this sentence?

Please explain it.

Unit = 'An entity regarded as an elementary structural or functional constituent of a whole'.

One bout = one boxing competition between 2 boxers
One match = one tennis competition between 2 tennis players
One game = one baseball competition between 2 teams
