What are some important qualities of a good supervisor (boss)? Use specific details and examples to explain why these qualities are important.

I think that qualities of a good supervisor depend on the work position where the boss works. However, I think that they are some important qualities, which are validity for all leaders – courage and strength. In the following passages I’ll illustrate my statement with reasons and examples.

Nowadays, business is a risky activity. Every day some company goes bankrupt. Therefore, a boss must be person with great courage. The personnel in the company observe him and if he lose control it’s very dangerous for the discipline in the company. For instance, If one company is in a financial crisis, workers feel it. It has an adverse effect on discipline. In my country we say, “fish start to perish from the head”. Therefore I think that a leader must serve, as the model for personnel.

Second, I think that leader must strength. It means that he must have enough power to make important decisions. Sometimes, a leader face problems, which contain contradiction between personal and common interests. For instance, if some worker seriously trespass a labor code as a result he must be dismissed. If this worker is a friend with leader, leader will face problems, which are related with their relationship. In this case, a leader must be decisive and strength. He must overcome the personal interest.

In conclusion I think that they are two important characteristics of a good supervisor. First, he must be always ready to encourage employees. However, he must be strength person, who never compromises with the policy of his company.

In any office or company the most important person and factor counts to lead company and to increase company productivity is the Boss that is good supervisor. As I place my self as a employee I expect some characteristics from my boss which is important for company as well as the employees. Characteristics are like friendliness, positive attitude, good bonding between employers and employees, motivation and give commendation if one of employees did seriously very good job beyond their expectation etc characteristics should present that person who is the boss for their company productivity. I will explain it one by one.

Firstly, the most important characteristics which present in boss is their should be the friendly bonding between the employers and employees so that the employees can able to place their point of view in front of their boss very frankly and without scared. If there is not friendly bonding between employees and employer many times employees not open up and they might do only their work without any doubt even if they not agreed with their boss point of view. In short there should be a good relationship bond between the employer and employees.

Secondly, Motivation is the one important thing which helps to increase company productivity. For example, if employees did their work successfully but still their boss not motivate their work and not give any commendation the employee might get fed up think to change the job which result in to the decrease company productivity instead of this if employers motivate employees every time when they did good job, employees get more excited and will do the same work with great energy.

Thirdly, employer should have the positive attitude towards every thing. The employers have to believe their employees about work he assigns to employee. If employer doubt about employees and always asking and disturb the employees, he might get fed up and not concentrate properly on his job.

In conclusion, the boss should have positive attitude, friendly nature and motivation so that every employees able to place their own point of view.
