Can I say
1 "dont mind it"
or
2 "never mind it"
in the sence "dont pay attention to it, it's not relevant now" ?

Thanks

Hi Lost_soul

Based on your description, I think I'd say 'Never mind'.
For example, if I asked Mary for John's phone number and then, just after I asked, I found John's number, then I might say to Mary "Never mind, Mary. I found it."

In AmE I don't think anyone would be likely to say 'Don't mind it' unless it was possibly a shortened version of 'I don't mind it' meaning 'I have nothing against it' or 'It doesn't bother me'.
