apologize to a professor #1 (permalink) Mon Mar 19, 2007 17:29 pm   apologize to a professor

really appreciated if you will take some time for correcting this (it is an apologize to a Professor beacuse at the end I renounced to apply for his Master):

"
Dear Prof. XXX

I firstly apologize for having disappeared, but some things changed by me.

I was planning to write you as soon as I could. I was actually aware of the missed deadline. I was also aware of the big chance I was loosing as I decided to renuonce to apply.

The reason is: in the meanwhile (January) I received a PhD offer from the XY Institute and I accepted.

This decision was a very dramatic one for me. I had to choose between XY or C., but the offer from XY was soon available, sure and entirely founded.
By taking this difficult decision (only assembly the three references for C. costed me 3 months of work) I have considered the fact that the Master in T.P. at University of C. is suitable also (and maybe especially) after PhD Studies. So my intention was to eventually pospone my application for the Master in C. for two years as I will be finishing my doctorate.
I sincerely hope to have not compromised my relation with you with my final decision.

Best Regards from M.

AZ"

Thank you immensely

Alex
