What are you addicted to? Mon Mar 19, 2007 21:48 pm  What are you addicted to?

Hi,

Is there anything you are addicted to? I mean, not necessarily in a totally negative sense -- I'm not talking about drugs. What I have in mind are things like chocolate, coffee or maybe any activities like reading thrillers or chatting on the Internet. In other words: Is there anything you are have a hard time getting or keeping under control?

Regards,
Torsten

yes, aereal, I have the same problem too, hehe.

And I'm having problems with the connection too, the cable snapped or something(very very windy in Kyushu) and I have to wait for a week or so and I only get access to the internet in the lab now.

Anyway, answering Torsten, I'm addicted to ginger tea I didn't want to drink anything else but recently I stopped drinking it because my body temperature kept rising my nose bled, funny I feel perfectly ok.

Thanks to my roommate,I guess Rolling Eyes , she threw all my ginger away! Because I didn't listen to her, she said. Here's how it went:

me(opening the fridge): hey, I thought I had a bunch of ginger in here, where did it all go?

liza: ...(not saying anything, making innocent face)

me: really, I bought like 8 tonnes of ginger last week! you didn't eat them, did you?you hate ginger...couldn't be you...hmm,I think we have a "ginger eating" ghost in the house.

liza: (still not saying anything, straight face)

suddenly my eyes caught something in the bin...

me: what the... who did this?were they rotten? (?_?)

liza: I had to do it, you weren't listening to me.Your nose keep bleeding.

me: what? listen to what?that!I told you! my nose bleeds every winter! It's the cold weather!

liza:..bla...bla...bla...

So we went on and on about me drinking too much ginger and I just don't have the energy to argue with her so now I'm on a "ginger tea rehabilitation"...hehe.

Funny, my nose stop bleeding now. I guess she was right all along.

hahaha...this is the addiction I forgot to mention usually I dance in my room alone or with my roommate or my friends' kids but a guy friend just invited me to come with him this thursday to a club! I won't be doing any dancing I guess (too shy)I just want to see for myself what 'clubbing' is, and of course this is an information I will not be sharing with my mom or dad. Darn, now I feel so guilty. But I just agreed...heck, I might as well fake a cold and cancel it.

I am addicted to the Internet too. I can sit for hours in front of my computer and read online information. As a result I get a splitting headache(after 5 hours of sitting). But I can't resist it. Cool

If I tell you, I would have to kill you...hehe...kidding man. I use 8 tonnes, 8 years, 8 million years, 8 "everything" when I exaggerate. It's just a habit.

Anyway, what's your addiction?

I must confess I'm addicted to the Internet, and especially to this forum. It's final and official, I'm afraid. A connection problem may not be utterly unbearable, but it makes me feel handicapped. If I didn't know better, you'd think I suffer from withdrawal symptoms -- at least I know I can happily survive in a place without Internet for a few weeks (with plenty of time to come to terms with the inevitable, of course).
