Still, there are many marijuana dealers out there. There are many restaurant workers who don't wash their hands after they go to the bathroom. There are many butchers who weigh meat with their thumb on the scale. There are many hucksters pushing pyramid schemes. There are many carpenters and plumbers running cash-only businesses while collecting unemployment insurance or welfare at the same time. There are many undocumented aliens working under false social security numbers. There are many boys chewing gum in metal shop class.

My metal shop teacher in school used to say, "It's okay to chew gum in my class, but not if I catch you!" You could chew gum all you wanted in there, but if he saw it, he would take your gum and firmly stick it in your hair.

It's similar with dual citizenship. You can run around with it, and the US won't do anything about it until there's trouble. Once there's trouble, the government will either revoke your US citizenship, or they'll refuse to help you in your other country.

Recognizing that something exists is not the same as accepting it.
