Hi

I'm a chinese girl. It's my first time to say someting on an english forum. Now I am writing a paper about the features of Internet English (especially about chatroom english). So I come here for help.
I know little about the way you chat on the Internet.

About the features of Internet English Wed Mar 21, 2007 14:50 pm  About the features of Internet English

Hi Toby,

Welcome to our forum. As for Internet English, I think there are a number of factors you should consider. Generally speaking, the language in chatrooms in online communities is much less formal than in the "real world", there are a lot of abbreviations and people often use "similies" and other icons. I suggest you go to Wikipedia and look for "netiquette" to get an overview of the various types of Internet communication channels.

Let me know what you think.
Regards,
Torsten

Hi
Torsten
Thank you for your suggestion. But I'm in China now, and I can't enter Wikipedia. However, I has known more about the topic because of you. Whatever, thanks for your reply.

Regards
Toby
