Hi

Could you please tell me which one of the following sentences is correct and natural? If someone is suffering from something, say 'damaged kidney', how would he explain the situation to a friend?

1- In this regard (kidney problem),I have to take special care of me.
2- In this regard, I have to take special care of mine.

Hi Tom

You could use 'mine' only if it clearly refers back to 'my kidneys' (in the previous sentence).

Oops!!

What's wrong with me?

Please see my revised question--I never meant mine! Maybe workload!

Hi Tom,

It's got to be reflexive I ..... myself.

Many thanks, Alan

One more question:

If you see somewhere written:

'I have to take special care of me"

Would the sentence strike you as unnatural and incorrect? Or you wouldn't notice it even?

Regards
