The ex.:

'We receive a degree from the University of Hawaii, accredited by the AACSB, the international association for management education.'

Can we put 'an' as an replacement for 'the' (international association...)?

Yes, Leuleu, you can replace 'the' with 'a'. The use of the definite article suggests that it's the only association of its kind in the world or that we already know about it.
