A verb needed with 'coconut oil' #1 (permalink) Fri Mar 23, 2007 10:54 am   A verb needed with 'coconut oil'

Hi

I hope you all apply coconut oil in your hair or at least have seen it. My question is this oil sort of "solidifies" or "freezes" or "settles" in its bottle--even in summer. What is the word (verb) for this action.

1- Coconut oil____________ very easily making it difficult for a person to apply.

Tom

PS: I do not think freeze is a good choice here!?? What do you think?

You can also say that coconut oil solidifies.

Even in summer? Mine solidifies in winter and I use it for my lips so it's easier to use because of its solid form.

Perhaps also: crystallises, thickens, hardens?

I've just realised that my first suggestion was totally useless, since Tom had already said that word! Embarassed
