TOEFL® Essay: Why Study Abroad?

Many students choose to attend schools or universities outside their home countries. Why do some students study abroad? Use specific reasons and details to explain your answer.

Knowledge itself is a power. Thirst of knowledge took many famous historians to different parts of this world. Mahatma Gandhi went to South Africa to study law and returned as a great scholar with a conviction of helping people of his country to get justice. Likwise, many students prefer studying abroad because of various reasons. I think students are inclined towards pursuing their studies outside their home countries due to various reasons such as for higher standards of education, better campus facilities, to enlighten their resume and for better employment opportunities.

In some developing countries, where the standard of imparting education is not very high, students prefer foreign universities to do further studies. For instance, if the student discovers that his field of interest such as aeronautical engineering, biotechnical or nanotechnological engineering, do not have good colleges in his home country or are less and it is difficult to get through any of them, he thinks of going abroad and take admission there to quench his desire to do a higher level of study.

Some universities have excellent infrastructure, good research facilities and attractive scholarships for students. These factors attract a student who wants to achieve success in his career path but the universities in his home country are deficient of the above requirements. Some foreign universities offer attractive scholarships to students studying at an undergraduate or graduate level, which can also be the reason behind student’s motivation since it makes him independent while studying.

Degree from a good foreign university always adds up to one’s resume. A person after achieving a degree/diploma certificate from abroad improves his credentials and opportunities of employment. Response to such students in developing countries is overwhelming as far as job matters are concerned.

Many students, after completing their education from universities abroad, seek employment legally in these countries especially, if the economy of the foreign country is better than his home country. These countries offer them better salary packages and benefits, which they may not expect in their own country. So, some students have a notion that studying abroad opens their doors to the employment in the outer world.

As all of we know “Experience is the best teacher”. Definatly I would cherish the experience of studying abroad. Studying abroad will be an important aspect of everyones life.Education is the bolster to survive today’s competitive world.International universities provide quality education with important facilities. It increases chance of getting better job.It aids to sustain in the flow of literate milieu.Learning keeps mind sharp and thereby maintain hale body.
I am planning to study abroad because I eager to acquire advanced management techniques. As in my country I do not have facility for the practical knowledge, I can fulfil this limitation while studying abroad. By implementing those techniques at my work field I will enhance working standards and can make my colleague aware of these ideas.
Regarding social life, it will be a great opportunity for me to stay apart from my family and country so that I will come to know how to manage all my own matters. There will be struggle which will give advantageous experiences. I will do all my work alone. I will get more involved in the society for my daily needs. I will meet different personalities and I will able to understand the rules of society. So it will improve my personality and working style.
I am a fond of travelling. I will not loose any of my holiday just in study. I will utilize my them in travelling with my pears. I will visit the historical places and will try to know the culture of that country. These memories will remain forever in my heart.
To conclude this topic I would say that the experience gained through abroad study can help to ameliorate the educational, organisational techniques in our country.

Study abroad has many qualifications. First get education one of the best universities.Also you acquaint with other students from other countries.You can learn other subjects that are studied only abroad. Also you extend your outlook by studying abroad.

My aim for axample is to study abroad mosly in Swithzerland in the Glion university. Now I am preparing to pass exam successfully.First I want to have ducation at the level of Europe.Mostly in my country students prefer to study abroad only for having a good job with high salary after returning to the country. Because in our country in jobs mostly are prefered to students who graduated from a foreign university. If you have a diploma froma foreign university you can provide your life very successfully in my country.Also in this case you can progress your country, because development of a country mostly depends on educated people.
But there is another problem most students have not money to go abroad and to study there , because fees of foreign universities are very high.For that governments, companies have to help those people to realize their wishes.I also have not so much money to study abroad.I am very happy that in our country governement help students to study abroad.they pay reimbursment of universities also give us scholarship.
