Hi, everyone!
I'm trying to figure out how to use words "revenge" and "avenge" So, Could you tell me, please, if the sentences below sound natural to you (or propose your own versions if you consider it nessesary)
(I suppose they all have the same meaning except for the 4-th example)
1. I'll take my revenge on him for the insult (which he hurled at me) 2. I'll revenge the insult on him 3. I'll revenge myself on him for the insult 4. He'll give me his revenge (i.e. He'll let me revenge the insult on him) 5. I'll be revenged of the insult --------------------------------- 6. I'll avenge the insult on him 7. I'll avenge myself on him for the insult 8. I'll be avenged of the insult
I would be grateful for any help Thanks in advance :) |
