Hi Mba,

I appreciate your comments. I still don't quite agree with you about the clothes, though. Let's see what others think.

Best wishes,

Hi,everybody thanks for the different oppinions on this topic,....only one thing,in marriage would be great if both, not only share the expenses, would be great if both share, everything, householdchores, time together, ideas, and the most important to demonstrate each other you really love to share your life with your wife/husband.

I forgot....another thing...This is not a competition of who is the better breadwinner man or woman,is only a point of view, maybe to find out,the best way to find an equilibrium,.... every person has her/his opinion that's the reason all marriages won't think the same, all will depend on traditions, customs, love, maybe society,personality,etc....and talking about clothes I think women should wear feminine clothes and men masculine clothes,Do you imagine a man wearing a skirt?no way!! Confused

Hi Cristina,

Why? I haven't heard even one good argument as to why it matters what kind of clothes you wear.

My humble opinion Fri Mar 30, 2007 19:14 pm  My humble opinion

Hi,EU
Is well known at least in Peru that the way you look, the way you are going to be treated, imagine entering in a bank, people could think you are not a serious person,I don't think a man can get a loan wearing a skirt in a bank,or a prist accepting a man wearing a dress,in Peru people are not as open-mind as in other countries.Maybe that's the main reason......for example I wouldn't feel comfortable if my husband decides to wear a dress to receive my family...or if my little son would want to wear a skirt to go to a party,I don't find this comfortable to any of them, maybe they would have to deal with critiques or mockery.
Don't you think? Smile Cris

Cristina

Is Lima situated at a high elevation (EG, 10,000-15,000 feet above sea level)?

Hi Cristina,

I can see your point but as you say it has to do with tradition rather than any real reason. Why shouldn't we let people express themselves the way the want to? I do not feel I am the right person to decide about what clothes people should or shouldn't wear.

Men shouldn't wear skirts or dresses.?

Roman soldiers wore skirts...I wouldn't call them sissies.
Scots wear kilts.
Greeks and Egyptians wore short kilts.
Priests wear cassocks..a dress look-a-like.
Chinese men wear "long gowns."

Many civilizations wore wrapping, and still do..which is the basic skirt form.
