Hi,

What's is the meaning of word "kind" in this sentence:
"It wasn't my fault, though, and I kind of lost enthusiasm for the job once I found what had happened."

Hi Anna

The expression 'kind of' means rather or somewhat. The expression 'sort of' means the same thing.

(But don't confuse the two expressions above with 'a kind of' and 'a sort of'. These two expressions mean 'a type of'.)
