Technical vocabulary regarding computer RAM: 'Increase' 'Short' etc

Hi

Could you please help me with some techinal words? :shock:

My computer RAM is 128 MB and I want it increased up to 256 MB. How would I write it to my director ( spicific vocabulary required)? Do you find short and increase correct and natural in the following places?

Short(?) computer RAM
Approval for the Increase(?)of the RAM up to 256 MB

Haihao has made some good points.

I'm not a computer wizard, but here are some examples of what I (an amateur) might say:

I don't have enough RAM on my PC.
My PC doesn't have enough RAM.
The RAM on my PC is not sufficient.
I want to increase the RAM (on my PC) to 256 MB. (You do not need the word 'up'.)
I'm going to upgrade the RAM on my PC.
My PC needs double the RAM it (currently) has.

If for some inexplicable reason I wanted less RAM, then I would probably use the verb 'reduce':

I want the reduce the amount of RAM on my PC.
