TOEFL® essay: People should sometimes do things that they do not enjoy doing

essay topic: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should sometimes do things that they do not enjoy doing.

It is a human nature that people like to do what they enjoy to do, but in some circumstances, people need to do what they do not enjoy to do. I believe this is that some times to earn money for making living requires people to do boring job, to save your life you need to obey something and to have a good family life you need to endure some displeasure things.

Firstly, to make money to live is essential thing for a person and in fact a lot of people are doing what they do not really enjoy to do just for their meals. For example, many peasants work in sever environment and in some places the peasants are still suffering hungry even if they works hard. It is hard to see any enjoy expression on their face, but for living they have to farm.

Secondly, to save your life, you have to obey something or do what you hate to do. For instance, in a battle if you are sieged by enemy and there is no hope to escape, you have to surrender to your enemy. Also, when you have diseases, you have to take the medicine or endure operation.

Lastly, for having a pleasure life, you need to do some unpleasure thing. For example, you have to do good thing for your teenage kids even if he or she is often mad at you. You have to do something when your wife bosses you to do if you want a peaceful life.

In conclusion, people have to do something they do not enjoy to do. These displeasure things are necessary for making living, saving your life and to having a lively life.

It is PART OF human nature that people like to do what they enjoy DOING, but in some circumstances, people need to do what they do not enjoy DOING. I believe this is that sometimes to earn money TO MAKE A living requires people to do A boring job, to save your life you need to obey something and to have a good family life you need to endure some UNPLEASANT things.

Firstly, to make money to live is AN essential thing for a person and in fact a lot of people are doing what they do not really enjoy DOING just for their meals. For example, many peasants work in A severE/HOSTILE environment and in some places the peasants are still suffering FROM HUNGER even if they work hard. It is hard to see any expression OF JOY on their face, but for A living they have to farm.

Secondly, to save your life, you have to obey something or do what you hate DOING. For instance, in a battle if you are BEsieged by AN enemy and there is no hope OF escape, you have to surrender to your enemy. Also, when you have diseases, you have to take the medicine or PUT UP WITH/GO THROUGH WITH AN operation.

Lastly, TO HAVE a pleasANT life, you need to do some UNPLEASANT thingS. For example, you have to do good thingS/DO THE BEST for your teenage kids even if he or she is often mad at you. You have to do something when your wife bosses you to do IT if you want a peaceful life.

In conclusion, people have to do something they do not enjoy DOING. These UNPLEASANT things are necessary for MAKING A living, saving your life and FOR having a lively life.
