Not that I expect you to accomplish the impossible, but I again seem to be receiving no notice of posts to threads I have contributed to. The reason remains a mystery to me. It was not the logged-in situation I had posited, since I was logged out all night, but this morning discovered 2 threads I had not been notified about, to wit: meaning of "lying thief" and What is the meaning of "quite a few comment on your work"?

Thanks.

(I got email notice of your post here, by the way. How odd-- sometimes I do, and sometimes I don't.)

A mistake? Surely not!

(I got 3 notices of your post, and two of them led to the 'does not exist' page. Thank goodness for that third notice!)

It was a test for notification functionality.

Hi Slava

I received an e-mail notification for this thread about an hour ago:
http://www.english-test.net/forum/ftopic3185.html

When I checked the thread, there was nothing new there. The last post was a week ago (and it was my own post).
Please read what I've just now posted there in response to the mysterious e-mail notification.

The link in the e-mail notification took me to this:
http://www.english-test.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=53572#53572

Did someone delete a post or is the forum software self-destructing?

PS
The answer to the test sentence in that thread still needs correction.

Hi Amy,
This link http://www.english-test.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=53572#53572 is a 'dummy link'.
I tested the notification system and I deleted my posting later.
You should now receive all forum notifications.
Please let me know if this is the case.
Many thanks,
Slava
