Hi LE

This is figurative. It basically means that when there is too much stress, it is possible for him to break down mentally or physically.

| Sachin would have done so much for Indian cricket. |
Yes, this sounds like a third conditional. It sounds like Sachin is no longer playing cricket and so it is impossible for him to have an influence on Indian cricket in the future. Or maybe if India is out of the world cup, it just means "If Safrin's team had been (were still) in the competition, he would have done a lot." _________________ "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." ~ Abraham Lincoln |

 Thanks for pointing out the typo, Conchita. Actually, though, I think I must have been suffering from Haihao's question about 'saffron'. _________________ "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." ~ Abraham Lincoln |

| "Being HIV Positive" - Which kind of sentence it is? | Is there any sentence where 'being' or 'been' is the only verb in that sentence? |
