Hi teachers,

I am fully aware that the word "experience" can be count noun or non-count noun, but I'm not sure when it is countable or uncountable.

Please help me solve this issue

Hi,

'Experience' as an uncountable noun indicates knowledge that you have collected through life or in work. 'Experience(s)' as a countable noun refers to an incident or incidents in particular that you have witnessed or been part of.

Let me put the two in one sentence:

Charlie has had a lot of experience in teaching people to drive and his worst experience was when the person he was instructing almost drove the car over a cliff.

Hope this helps.

Alan
