Hi,Torsten
I went to my bed before 10 minutes. I was afraid I would miss the meeting. But now I would come to my bed again. Now it's 01:18 A.M. in Taiwan. I almost forgot the meeting. And I recalled it before 10 minitues,so I get up. Now I see you message. OK! I would remember it as I can. Thanks!

Hi,Torsten
I am wonering if there are topics for the meeting of May 16. And have you ever thought about how long is the meeting is suitable? Moreover,I am curious who would join the meeting cause I don't see if you have announced any information to others in this forum except this article? Thanks a lot.

Hi Maggie,
I must apologize for skipping the Skypecast a second time but it seems I have bitten off more than I can chew. If it's OK with you, we can simply talk via Skype, just the two of us the next time we are both online and have a little time to spare. What do you think of this? Many thanks for your understanding.

Hi,Torsten
Thanks for quick response. It's okay. And because of your sharing, now I know how to use skypecast. Last night, I used it and I have made one friends, who is Taiwanese and speaks great English. Recently, I am free because I am preparing one exam and I think I can spare some time to talk with you. So would you please tell me when will you be free(Berlin Time)?
BTW,my english is not good as I imagine. Last night,I hosted one skypecast. One guy who comes from Poland,he spoke English very fast and I simply couldn't make sense what he said. So I think you are supposed to more patient when you talk with me. Could you, please?
Talk with you soon! I left my skype: maggie_love_vanc. Please add it to be one of your contacts if possible.

Hi Rosalisa,
It would be exciting to talk to you. In general, I am very interested in how our forum members speak. Perhaps Alan, Torsten, Amy and Conchita could all describe their accents in detail.

Hey, EU
My spoken English is probably very similar to what you once called "Delawarean English" (but what I think of as a Philadelphia-area accent). Some of the Yanks here in Connecticut can still identify the fact that my "formative language years" were not spent in Connecticut, but rather somewhere near Philly. On the other hand, my Philly friends tell me that I now say some words "funny". So, my accent is probably mainly Philadelphia flavored with a bit of New England.
By the way, it's unbelievable how many people have commented in wonder about the fact that, even though I spent 17 years in Germany, I do not have a German accent. |

Hi,guys
It sounds like I am so lucky to have chance to talk with Torsten. Actually, I am nervous to talk with Torsten. I am really not good at speaking and listening English. I am afraid I would waste Torsten's much time. Moreover, I am thinking that why not we host activities periodically to pratice English and know each other? And maybe we can set up some topics to talk in advance. People who like the topics, then they can choose to join in. I think it would be funner and it would enrich our forum, also. Would you please tell me what do you think?
Greetings!
