Hi,

I came across an unusual sentence, used in an article. Here it is: "She has come to visit ..." I don't even understand if the word 'visit' here is a verb or a noun (it seems to me it is a noun but there's no article before it).

I would really appreciate a reply,

She has come [in order] to visit.-- this is the full form of this structure. 'Visit' is an infinitive verb. Does that help, Ariadne?
